Your smile journey starts here. At Total Orthodontics, every great smile begins with a great first experience. From the moment you walk in, our friendly team ensures you feel comfortable, informed, and excited about your care.
Your first orthodontic visit in Greenwood Village or Lone Tree, CO is complimentary and lasts about one hour. During this visit, we take a 3D digital scan using our iTero™ scanner to create a precise model of your teeth. No goopy impressions required. If needed, we also take digital X-rays to give our orthodontists a complete view of your smile.
We proudly serve families across Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, Centennial, Englewood, and Highlands Ranch, offering advanced orthodontic care designed to fit your lifestyle.
What Happens During the First Visit?
Your first appointment is focused on you and your smile goals. Our orthodontists Dr. Brooks Barefoot, Dr. Kevin Theroux, and Dr. Elizabeth Donahue review your scans, discuss your needs, and perform a complete orthodontic examination.
During this visit, we answer questions such as:
What type of orthodontic issue is present, if any?
Is treatment needed?
When should treatment begin?
What options are available, including Invisalign® or braces?
How long will treatment take?
What will it cost?
You’ll leave your appointment with a clear understanding of your options and a treatment plan tailored to your smile.
What Does My Investment Include?
Your investment includes:
- Orthodontic records, which consist of X-rays, digital iTero™️ models, and a personalized workup to determine your treatment objectives.
- Active treatment with braces or Invisalign® includes all appliances, office visits, and orthodontic procedures performed in the office.
- One set of final retainers is provided upon completion of treatment, as well as the option to purchase a second backup set at half the typical cost. There is a replacement fee for each additional retainer that is lost or broken.
What Isn’t Included in My Investment?
Your investment covers all orthodontic treatment performed at Total Orthodontics, but does not include:
- Work performed at dental offices outside our orthodontic practice.
- Extended treatment times which are due to the patient not being compliant with rubber bands. There is no charge for extended treatment unless poor compliance is the cause.
- Any LASER treatment, though it is needed very infrequently
- If an accident or injury occurs during treatment, which results in TMJ (Temporo-Mandibular-Joint) complications, additional orthodontics, orthognathic surgery, etc. A fee adjustment may be required to complete treatment under these very rare circumstances.
If your insurance policy changes during treatment, our team helps you update your plan to keep your benefits accurate.
